The world is like a tower of Babel,
No one person speaking the same tongue,
And even if they did speak the same tongue,
It would be a different accent ,
Impossible to interpret.

Because we all sit in our individual towers of indecipherable speech,
It became indecipherable through our own doing,
Indecipherable because of our fears,
The fear that no one understands.

We say we're on the same page
But can we truly be on the same page as another?
No, we cannot.
Everyone has their own page.
You can try to be on someone else's page
But you will fail

Efforts of understanding are futile
As trying to catch the fireworks that light up the night sky.

People hear without understanding,
People talk without thinking.

Words like snowflakes fall
And disappear
Into utter nothingness.

Have you ever read someone's private writings (journal, diary, email, letters, etc.) without their permission?

No I haven't that I can remember anyways.
And now that I keep a journal that I write on a daily basis I would never do it because
one time I thought someone looked in it cause I couldn't find it and I was so pissed

Butterfly

We are all butterflies

We are meant to feel small because of our stature,

We are meant to feel useless,

We are meant to feel our lives are meaningless,

But I know this is not true.

I know it simply can’t be true

It just can’t.

For I’ve seen what butterflies can do,

Seen it with my own eyes

Butterflies can cause tornadoes

With a fateful flap of their wings

Butterflies can cause tornadoes

Tornadoes unbeknownst to themselves

So I say to you

Breakout,

Spread your wings and flap.

And the beauty of it is

You will never know.

What the fuck is up with the weather?  This is probably the strangest weather I've ever seen in my long 16 years on this planet.  I'm generally a fan of rain.  I enjoying playing soccer in the rain and running in the rain and such.  But at the same time it is undeniably depressing.  Stop now please Rain King.

No matter what language you speak, you've probably come across words or phrases in another language that sound better than their equivalents in your native tongue. What's your favorite word or phrase in a foreign language?

Ode To Death

Death welcomes me with open arms and an open mind
It's finally over, I sigh
I've never had a friend so kind.

Scarecrows try to chase away the vulture, blind
to the ultimate truth, no lie
That death welcomes me with open arms and an open mind.

The lady in black is the least prejudice creature one can find
One way or another we will all die
And I've never had a friend so kind.

The pages if my life are lined
With words all leading up to the final goodbye
When death welcomes me with open arms and an open mind.

The minutes before the final word is signed
My soul will surely reach he sky
And I know I've never had a friend so kind.

The moments before the light goes out is like the smell of a coffee grind
and I can feel as if I can fly
Death welcomes me with open arms and an open mind
I've never had a friend so kind.
